It's Cthulhu Invictus Tuesday! This time we unveil a MAJOR stretch goal, with it's cover.
When most people think of Ancient Rome they think of the glories of Italia, the forests of Germania, or the mists of Britannia. But the Empire was a vast place filled with many dangers, especially at the outer borders of its influence. What mysteries and perils would investigators face here, on the Edges of the Empire?
Golden Goblin Press hopes to explore some of this region with a very exciting stretch goal for the De Horrore Cosmico Kickstarter Campaign. Terror on the Borderlands – Dark Adventures at the Edge of the Empire is a short semi-campaign which will take the investigators through what becomes known as The Middle East. It will features four adventures set during the Bar Kokhba Revolt (also known as the Second Jewish Revolt), a very turbulent time for the empire. Three of these scenarios are by new(ish) authors whom we are excited and honored to introduce you to, the last is by someone likely more familiar to Cthulhu Invictus players.
A Balance of Blood by Matt Puccio– Investigators visit the roman protectorate of Armenia on a political mission to shore up support against the Parthians.
Son of a Star by Andrew Nicolson – Investigators join in the search for an escaped spymaster in the Province of Judea as war rages around them and encounter a rather unusual sect of zealots.
A Whisper of Crones by Charles Gerard – The investigators search for a missing nobleman and battle a mysterious witch-cult in the province of Syria.
Foundation of Power by Oscar Rios– Wherein the investigators visit Lower Egypt to deal with unruly Berber tribes and attempt to lift a curse.
This will be one of the later stretch goals which we hope to be able to produce. If you want to see these scenarios please mark September 12th on your calendar, back our Kickstarter, and help spread the word.
